Mary graduated from Camberwell School of Arts with a degree in Illustration and then did an MA in Textile Design at Central Saint Martin's School of Art,
now part of the University of the Arts, London.
She worked as a freelance illustrator and textile designer on magazines, educational resources, packaging, greetings cards and on fashion textiles.
A year in southern Spain inspired her to produce a range of hand-painted fabrics in vibrant Sevillian colours sold in Liberty's and elsewhere.
She then created a range of floral designs painted onto bone china for Cosmo China in Holborn.
Mary has always loved painting nature, especially flowers, and tries to capture the ethereal beauty of this transitional world.
She currently works in watercolour and ink to achieve translucent effects.
Her most recent exhibition was of flower paintings in Woodbridge, Suffolk.
She is a keen gardener and has a rooftop garden overlooking the London Eye and the Houses of Parliament.
Mary is available for commissions for garden and flower paintings, for street and roofscapes and for bespoke designs on bone china.
